Love at first swipe?
It was a cold day in December when we mutually swiped right on the second most popular dating app (after Jigsaw). Our first date was to Las Iguanas where we bonded over 2 for 1 jugs of Margaritas (a running theme); little did we know we were headed for lockdown…
March 2020
Move in or move on
After a wonderful 12 weeks of dates we arranged for a mini-break to the peak district. Alas we only managed 5 hours before the lockdown was announced and we started our journey home the next day. One of the topics of discussion on the radio was ‘what should newly met couples do about lockdown?’. The answer was simple: move in or move on! We liked each other quite a lot so we opted for the former, certain that it would only be 3 weeks before everything went back to normal.
June 2020
It's still going?
We were of course very wrong. Whilst lockdown continued, our love did not choke and die. Instead we isolated together, playing endless rounds of monopoly deal and watching Netflix in the hot tub. By the time the lockdown was lifted we were in it for the long term with no intention of moving out.
November 2023
The big question
The subsequent years have been filled with adventures, travels and collecting animals (Frankie rather than Rose); until on an adventure to Iceland, Frankie took Rose down the crack (between the tectonic plates) and proposed!
Formal Garden Party: Summer dresses (hats optional) for the ladies and light jackets and trousers for the men. Recommended to avoid stilettos.
